INFANT AND CHILD MENTAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS
An infant Mental Health Assessment evaluates the infant or child’s emotional well-being, the quality of his/her significant relationship and identifies the factors that should be taken into account in crafting a developmentally sensitive parenting plan tailored to the child’s temperament, health, developmental progress and key relationships. IMH assessments have been well-received by Queen’s Bench and Provincial Courts throughout Alberta, BC and the Yukon.
VOICE OF THE CHILD REPORTS
A Voice of the Child report gives a description of the family context and describes the child’s experience of living in the current parenting plan. It outlines the child’s preferences, worries and important messages for decision-makers. The report will discuss any concerns regarding parental coaching or influence.
Originating in Ontario, TA is designed for parents who are seeking to have a supervision requirement lifted due to concerns related to child maltreatment or intimate partner violence. TA builds on the traditional supervision model by providing targeted coaching and interventions to the parent prior to and during supervised parenting time to improve their parenting skills and instill confidence in their parenting capacity.
